The Belgian bred Ultime Espoir is a son of Chellano Z. This son of Contender is bred out of the full sister to the stallions Corrado I and II and was successful with Jos Lansink at the highest international showjumping levels. The combination was among others placed in the Grand prix of Rotterdam, Londen and Neumunster. Since 2004 Chellano Z is continuing his sport career with Edouard Mathé. Dam Etoile du Catelet is a daughter of Laeken, the successful international showjumping stallion with Patrice Delaveau.Laeken is the sire of a long series of international showjumping horses of which Champion du Lys (Ludger Beerbaum), Fakir de la Lande (Michael Whitaker) and Baeken Platière (Michel Hecart) are good examples. Grand dam Ostande is a daughter of Fort de la Cour. This stallion produced, for instance, the international showjumping horse Falco de Gouville (Olivier Bourqui) and is bred out of the same mare as the famous showjumping horse Major de la Cour (Thomas Fuchs, Alison Firestone). The pedigree is completed by the well known showjumping horse producer Uriel. All offspring (4) by his daughter Havanne have competed at national showjumping levels. Ultime Espoir combines the ideal conformation with a powerful take-off and a beautiful technique. His movement is remarkably light-footed with a lot of ease and balance. The performance test report refers to Ultime Espoir as a stallion with 'a lot of scope, showing a lot of talent as a showjumping horse and giving the rider a very good feeling'. Ultime Espoir was easy winner of the stallion competitions 2007.
